What is the aesthetic appreciation of food and drink? This study aims to clarify the temporality of food and beverages. This study first shows that there are three types of time: the time of the object, the time of embodied cognition, and the time of the phenomenon. Then, I argue that there are four aspects of phenomenal time: non-time, linear time, recurring time, and point-time. Each of these four phases of time produces a different appreciation experience. Furthermore, I argue that these four temporalities are not determined a priori, but are generated by the attention of the eater
