Chance discovery is a research topic that emerges in recent years. To discover chances, a double helix model emphasizing human-computer interactions and a visual analysis tool named as KeyGraph have been proposed. In this paper, the mechanism of the double helix model is re-interpreted from the viewpoint of decision-making. The manipulation results of the double helix model are thus mapped to the objective space of the decision-making problem. In such a case, identifying the chance path to a "heaven" which is full of satisficing solutions becomes the key to success for the context of decision-making. A context of designing creative cell phones by using interactive genetic algorithms (IGA) has been discussed. To recognize the chance paths for IGA, an on-chance operator which evolves the individuals based on the historical data is massively used. The pilot experimental results, including satisfaction investigation, are all promising.
